Mark and Ned met in 2015 at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, where they completed numerous projects together, becoming good friends and developing a strong, synergistic work process and team dynamic.
Edward Lash
Partner
Prior to cofounding Metis Management Solutions, Ned was a mergers and acquisitions consultant at Deloitte Consulting and a technology transformation and integration consultant at EY. Focused on the financial services industry, Ned’s areas of expertise include program and product management, data strategy, data modernization, data governance and compliance, technology separation and integration, end-to-end business and technology transformations, requirements gathering and analysis, and technology solution selection.
Ned is a 2017 Rice Business MBA and a 2010 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a former Army captain. He is a Certified Product Manager and ScrumMaster.
Mark Cochran
Partner
Before cofounding Metis Management Solutions, Mark helped run a large real estate brokerage in Houston, where he managed a team of over 100 analysts. He also worked for two years as an analyst at a multi-billion-dollar REIT, where he worked in portfolio expansion. Mark specializes in investor relations, computational data analysis, forecasting, and predictive analysis, specifically utilizing large data sets found via web scraping.
Mark understands various coding languages including Python and C++ , and uses his expertise to create custom algorithms to solve atypical problems for small and large companies (MM to BB in revenue). Mark holds his MBA from Rice University and is an alumnus of both Trinity and Northwestern Universities.
